Armistice Day Gigapixel

English photographer Drew Gardner has once again captured an impressive gigapixel image with his Roundshot VR Drive and a Fujifilm GFX 50s camera.

Last Sunday, November 11, 2018, Armistice Day took place to mark the 100th anniversary of the commemoration of Armistice Day of the First World War. On this day, the Allies and representatives of Germany signed the treaty thereby ceading hostilities on the Western Front.

Armistice Day is celebrated every year on November 11th to commemorate the end of the First World War in Great Britain, France, Belgium and many other countries.

The gigapixel image, commissioned by The Telegraph, documents the moment the Prince of Wales laid the wreath at the cenotaph to honor those who lost their lives in the war.

The image was created using a Fujifilm GFX 50s with Fujinon GF 250mm lens on a Roundshot VR Drive with USB imaging on a Gitzo tripod. Audio with Zoom H2N with Ricote Windjammer

Congratulations to Drew for this interesting documentation of a historical event in gigapixel resolution!
