Install the new Livecam apps v. 2.3
Release V. 2.3 of our Livecam apps for smartphones and tablet computers is now available for download and allows a wide variety of great new features.
Version 2.0 of our new apps was released on December 6th, 2019 and received a lot of positive feedback. In response to popular requests, we have also introduced "best shots", the image archive, comparing images and more detailed weather data - to name just a few of the new functionalities.
Be it preparing for a mountain hike or snow adventure, discovering new excursions or vacation spots or simply relaxing with beautiful panoramic images, the Roundshot Livecam apps offer access to hundreds of top destinations worldwide - at the touch of a finger and within seconds!
Roundshot Livecam App (orange) - customer-specific

The two apps are available in two versions - the Roundshot Livecam app for all customers with a "full" web service - activation with a customer-specific key - and the Roundshot Livecam Global for all Livecam fans worldwide.
Upon launching the app, the user lands on a welcome page that displays cameras around the world with thumbnails. When favorite cameras are selected (with "heart" icon), these favorites will be displayed first.
To view a specific camera, use the search field or filter cameras by country or category:
The search or filter results are again displayed with thumbnail images:
Curious about locating Livecams near you? Use the around me feature to find cameras within a specific radius of your current location:
The search results within a certain radius of your current position are again displayed as thumbnails:
Or do you prefer a more comprehensive overview in map view? Zoom in on the map to view your preferred region and load the image from any Livecam by clicking on the camera icon:
We have also expanded the settings of the apps:
- The general settings include the auto rotation speed and the auto rotation delay
- The legal settings contain our data protection guidelines, information on reporting images for pixelation, information about the copyright of the images and an option to deactivate Google Analytics.
Clicking on a camera thumbnail on the welcome page loads the camera view:
In addition to the customer logo and the sponsor logos at the bottom left and top right, the new camera view menu now also includes quick scrolling between images using the "time/date selector", the favorite selection ("heart"), the customer area ("i") as well a link to the current weather forecast and a new animated menu bar at the bottom right of the screen.
The "hot spots" are a hot topic for our customers and allow improved interactivity for Livecam users as well as linking opportunities for our customers:
Clicking on the information icon ("i") opens the customer area, ideal for publishing telephone or email contact options or for further destination information:
What is hidden behind the menu bar? Click the menu button and find out!
Click on the weather icon ("Sun") to see the forecast of temperature, precipitation and wind for today and the following three days:
As a second icon in the menu, the "compare" function loads two images side by side - load any image from the archive and use the slider to make the change in the image visible:
Or are you interested in an image of a specific date and time? To do this, use the "archive" function and select year/month/date/time to load an image at any time:
Sometimes the light and colors are just right to create the perfect image. These images are saved in "best shots" and are now also available in our apps:
Where is the exact location of this Livecam? Click on the map icon to view the location. Choose between map view or satellite view:
Would you like to save or forward an image to your mobile device? Click "share" and choose from a variety of options:
We are proud to present this latest version of our new apps and are confident that they will provide tremendous value for Livecam users as well as significant traffic and visibility for our Livecam customers.
