This camera is currently the highest Roundshot Livecam in Europe.
Roundshot Livecam Jungfraubahnen - Top of Europe Jungfraujoch
The Roundshot Livecam is installed on an 8m mast where the camera has to withstand very strong winds of up to 200 km/h and freezing temperatures of -30° C. The image data is transferred via fiber optic cable from the camera to the livecam computer on Kleine Scheidegg (2,000 m above sea level), from where the images are uploaded to our web server.
The Jungfraujoch is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the Swiss Alps. It is home to the highest train station in Europe and is visited by thousands of tourists from all over the world every day.
Due to its strategic position between the Bernese Oberland in the north and the Valais in the south, the Jungfraujoch is an important meteorological station and houses a Global Atmosphere Watch research center.
We look forward to many fascinating 360° images of the Top of Europe!
