VR Drive price reduction

Over the past week, the Swiss franc has appreciated significantly against the EURO, US$ and other currencies, which led us to the decision to adjust the prices for our Roundshot VR Drive product.

We pay our wages in Swiss francs and most components of our production are of Swiss origin. This means that between 80-90% of our costs are incurred in Swiss currency, which in return allows us to advertise our products as "Swiss-made".

On the other hand, this means that if our local currency appreciates, we only have limited options to adjust our prices to the exchange rates.

While hardware price reductions are difficult to achieve, we are reducing prices for our VR Drive software modes. The following new prices apply immediately:

  • Speed mode: CHF 150 (previously CHF 300)
  • Timelapse mode: CHF 150 (previously CHF 300)
  • Video mode: CHF 150 (previously CHF 300)
  • HDR mode: CHF 400 (previously CHF 800)

These price reductions make it possible to reduce the prices of our VR Drive products by an average of 10%.

VR Drive accessories that we buy outside of Switzerland have become cheaper. We pass on the full currency advantage to our customers and reduce these prices by an average of 20%.

Here is the new VR Drive price list, valid now:

For our other products (Roundshot Livecam, Roundshot D2x, Roundshot D3 + Seitz 6x17 Digital) we work closely with our most important suppliers in order to achieve lower prices for components purchased abroad. This is a long-term process that we have just started. We will pass these cost savings on to our customers as soon as the reductions are confirmed.
