Livecam Multimedia Platform Update
“Publish or perish” would be an apt motto for our Livecam multimedia platform... every month we encounter new browser and security challenges that require our attention.
We also receive a lot of ideas and feedback from customers, which makes our development work interesting and exciting. In other words: we will not rest!
A lot has changed since the last Livecam Multimedia Platform update in October 2015. That's why we're pleased to present you with a summary of the latest features and improvements to our Livecam multimedia platform in this update.

One app for every customer We provide every Livecam customer with their own smartphone and tablet app (IOS + Android) with the customer logo. This is unique as a webcam product and has a lot Redesign In December 2015 we launched our newly developed apps (version 1.1.1). They are now designed even more specifically for our customers and enable new functions. The main improvements are:

New image patches Based on an idea from a French customer, we developed a tool for integrating image patches. This is a practical solution for covering masts or other unattractive objects. The patches can also be used as an additional sponsorship opportunity. The patches are permanently saved in the images |
Measure your traffic Livecam images create a magnetic attraction for website traffic. But can you also measure this? Send us your Google Analytics tracking code for each Livecam property. This allows systematic and detailed analysis of Livecam traffic thanks to established google analytics tools. The analysis is available for the html5 and html4 (mobile) websites. |
Speed We have increased the loading speed of our images and the web interface step by step over the last few months. After completing this optimization, we greatly increased the bandwidth of our server to handle the massive traffic for the winter months, primarily generated by our customers in the ski industry. |

The new mass image download feature is ready! After logging into the admin tool (backend.roundshot.com), our customers can download many images in a single process. It's even possible to download all images from a specific camera! This function is particularly practical when it comes to creating a time-lapse film or backing up images. Our server processes the images overnight and sends an FTP link via email. The images can then be downloaded within a week using Filezilla (or similar FTP software). Since this function places a heavy load on our server, this service is limited to one request per camera per week. |

Welcome Roundshot France! We also warmly welcome our French livecam customers! The Seitz team has been providing technical support for our French Livecam customers since 2015. Since 2016, we have been responsible for all customer matters (sales, sales service, on-site service, remote maintenance and accounting) directly from Switzerland. Soyez les bienvenus!
