equipment:
- Roundshot VR Drive
- Nikon D810
- NIKKOR 800 mm ƒ/5.6 lens
Creating a panoramic image with a resolution of 4,864,928,804 pixels presented Luc with a few challenges:
- Light wind caused vibrations and therefore blurring - a 2 second mirror lock-up helped to reduce further vibrations
- Movement in the landscape (clouds, water) caused some difficulties, requiring several hours of image post-processing
- Stitching together the 320 images (5 rows of 64 images) and retouching the images took 2 days
- When Luc loaded the finished panorama into Photoshop, he had to divide the image into several sections to get around the plug-ins' memory limitations
Congratulations Luc on this great picture!
