Roundshot VR Drive - new software

The spring software update season has begun for the Roundshot team and we are pleased to introduce the new Roundshot VR Drive version 2.020.

This new VR Drive version contains some interesting updates such as:

  • Automatic exposure with external exposure meter: Possibility of measuring the light using a panoramic pan of up to 360° and calculating an exposure average from this
  • New "back to start" option after each row, making it possible to avoid winding cables from e.g. chargers during long-term recordings
  • New "bottom image" function to take a downward image after a completed program sequence, which can be seamlessly integrated into the "viewpoint correction" workflow of the future PTGUI version 11
  • x/y repeat - Ability to start an entire program again from a specific row/position, ideal for gigapixel recordings
  • Writing image IDs via USB connection also for speed mode, very practical for gigapixel projects where every second saved is valuable
  • USB compatibility (USB release, USB functions, HDR mode) for Sony A7R Mk III
  • a comprehensive collection of bug fixes

new Sony A7R Mk III - compatible with Roundshot VR Drive for USB control + HDR mode

This update is available free of charge for all of our VR Drive customers by downloading it from the “Club”.

We wish all of our VR Drive customers continued fun with their Roundshot equipment.
