As part of a public tender process under WTO standards, Seitz Phototechnik AG / roundshot won the contract for the renewal and potential expansion of the current camera network of MeteoSwiss, the Federal Office of Meteorology and Climatology.

Our Roundshot Livecam network has grown to around 500 cameras around the world, delivering stunning images every day throughout all seasons.

We have given our Seitz and Roundshot brands a refresh and are excited to unveil our new logos and branding today.

We are pleased to announce the new VR Drive firmware version 2.024 as well as the new version 1.4 of our Roundshot Image Bundler for Windows and Mac desktop computers. These updates are available for free as downloads from our “Club” website for all of our VR Drive customers.

Release V. 2.3 of our Livecam apps for smartphones and tablet computers is now available for download and allows a wide variety of great new features.

In autumn 2019, The Bardwell Press published the book "Photography At Length", which was developed by English photographer Brian Polden over many years of detailed research.

Our livecam customer "Pays de Neuchâtel" (Tourisme Neuchâtelois) sent us a great compilation of sunsets, showing the views from 5 of the 10 installed livecams in the area of Lake Neuchâtel and the Neuchâtel Jura.

With our new Livecam timelapse feature, available in our CMS backend system, we can now generate fantastic time lapse films in YouTube format, ideal for sharing on social media.

The new Series of Roundshot Roundshot Livecam – Generation 4 – 360°-Webcams is in final assembly and will be available soon.

Today we introduce you to VR-EASY, a company based in Berlin, Germany, which was founded by VR professionals who are dedicated to the simple and efficient creation of virtual tours.

The Austrian photographer Michael Mandl has created a great gigapixel panorama of Lake Traun.

Two Livecams were awarded to southern Switzerland through the WeatherAlarm Ticino competition. On February 20, 2019 we introduced the first winner: Capanna Gorda in Aquila. The second Livecam has now been installed in the legendary Castello Seeschloss Ascona Hotel. WetterAlarm published a blog update about this new installation and immediately announced another competition.
